Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her leading character. She also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted and also in the indie film Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, the latter of which she wrote and co-directed. Hennessy was raised in Edmonton. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat marketer and a sales/marketing executive. This job required lots of travel, which resulted in frequent family relocations. Maxine Her mother was a secretary. Her daughter was abandoned by Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. Her younger brother is Jacqueline Hennessy who is an identical twin who is a journalist in a magazine as well as a host on TV in Canada. Hennessy's ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage from her father's side and mostly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She used to busk in Toronto's subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were the first to act as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. She was not selected for the role of Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who ultimately got the role.She was on Broadway in the musical Buddy The Buddy Holly Story in 1990. The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she appeared as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons, and then leaving the series as an actress in the year 1996.
