Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8 the 8th of November, 1985) is a Canadian actress. Her most well-known roles include her role as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction series Continuum. Recently, she appeared as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz who is Polish-American was in the ninth grade in Poland. She lived in Poland with her uncle and went to the school in Jelenia Gora. She then went on to pursue a degree at Vancouver Film School. She became interested in acting at 10 years old after her father introduced her to Pulp Fiction. She started her acting career in 2002 and made brief appearances on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 to 2009 she played the role of Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. She was a part of Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original movie, in the year 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a series regular) in the television drama Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Hellcats was her next film. In 2012, she was an actor in Jane Espenson's second season of the web-based Husbands, a romantic comedy. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the series Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film produced by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno was originally filmed in 2012. It was released globally in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast in Volition as Angela. It was released in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz played the role of Sandy in the second season of Netflix thriller You.
