Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond locks and a lively appearance, shares tips on how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and its culture along with the natural geography. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for food and cooking early on. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful learning experience for me. The Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. While in Italy Burrell developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. This will have a significant impact on the way she approaches her cuisine. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids who have challenges. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor Burrell travels throughout the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. Anne has always been grateful she could share the passion of cooking with others.
