Alexandra Rose Raisman was born May 25, 1994. She is a retired American artistic gymnast. She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Both won their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals in both team and floor competitions, as well as the bronze medal for the balance beam, which made her the most well-known American gymnast of the Games. Morgan was born July 2, 1989 to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. She and her sisters Jeni and Jeri were raised in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan played many sports throughout her youth, but did not favor soccer until the age of 14. She then became a member of the Cypress Elite club team, winning the Coast Soccer League under-16 championship and finishing in third in the bracket for under-19 players. Morgan continued to hone her soccer skills at Diamond Bar High School. Morgan was named an All-American Athlete by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). She also participated in the Olympic Development Division's state and regional divisions. Morgan continued her career in soccer at UC Berkeley where she was the California Golden Bears' leading scorer from the beginning of her season. She was instrumental in taking the team to the NCAA Tournament every year and twice into the second round. Morgan was one of the four finalists for the Honda Sports Award. This
